Supporting TasTAFE Women in ICT Pathways Program

Launched in April this year, TasTAFE’s Women in ICT Pathways program is a 24 month pilot program supporting 36 students with training, mentoring and work placement and is a partnership between TasTAFE and the Australian Computer Society working in collaboration with industry.

Jenny Bignell, Business Improvement & Culture at Intuit Technologies has facilitated a partnership with this program, aiming to lift the participation rates of women in the ICT industry by strengthening the links between education and employment and showcasing the many roles available.

Offering students a Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology, Intuit Technologies is providing mentoring and work placements to participants undertaking the course.

Intuit Technologies hosted a breakfast to celebrate the program, along with Angela Fox, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Dell Technologies Australia and New Zealand who was able to share her experience and insights with the students.
